According to www.webmd.com, Multiple Sclerosis, commonly called MS is a disease affects the brain and the spinal cord within the body.  The most common reactions to MS are loss of muscle control, vision, balance, sensation or thinking ability.  MS gets its name from the buildup of scar tissue (sclerosis) in the brain and/or spinal cord.

With MS, a person’s immune system attacks the nerves within the spine and the brain, which are two main components of a person’s central nervous system.

According to www.webmd.com, multiple sclerosis affects over 400,000 Americans, which makes it the most frequent cause of neurological disability beginning in early to middle adulthood.

Some symptoms of MS are:

  • Muscle weakness
  • Decreased coordination
  • Blurred or hazy vision
  • Eye pain
