Disorientation ?
After graduating from high school, most freshman attend orientation on their chosen campus. At Texas Tech, the orientation process is a two day adventure. But, what is covered in those two days may not answer questions some freshman may have. Daniell Novy's article touches on some of the issues freshman have or do not have while adjusting to their new environment. Click here to read Danielle's article. Maybe you are one of the many freshman on campus with the same issues.
Major (academic) Concerns
If you are undecided about your major, check out the (ACTT) Advising Center at Texas Tech Discovery program or you can go to Room 079 of Holden Hall. To contact ACTT by telephone, call 806-742-2189
For freshman or transfer students who may have a major in mind, but still have questions, visit the ACTT Web site for general questions.
Tours

Bus Routes
For many freshman and transfer students, understanding the campus bus routes can be quite a task. Many newcomers to Texas Tech eventually find out by asking friends. Some risktakers jump on a bus and hope they end up somewhere they are familiar with. To avoid that fiasco and lessen you chances of ending up somewhere you do not want to be, you can get a bus route map at the information desk at the Student Union.
