A Growing Tradition at Tech

With a football team that began in 1925, the Texas Tech football program has built several time-honored traditions, put out many professional-level athletes, contributed to the local economy, and continuously put a competitive group of football players on the field each year.

In 2008, the Red Raiders look to continue their competitive edge over Big 12 conference rivals and better their favorable pre-season ranking behind the play of Senior quarterback Graham Harrell, Heisman hopeful Michael Crabtree, an overall experienced squad, and the support of the Tech community.
